| Hello Madden Fans,
In order for our franchise to be successful you must know some of the things that make a online franchise fail. Pitfalls of Online Franchises
- Communication: This is the most crucial element to any successful organization. Without communication members will feel lost and lose interest in the league.
- Schedual: As an online community we are all from different areas of the US. The fact that we fall under different time zones and have different jobs and duties through out the day makes it difficult for members to schedual games.
- Connectivity: Internet connection plays a big role in how a game will turn out. I know for a fact that I cannot play in a lag infested game, and assume other members cannot eighter. Also there is the issue with the occasional disconnect, or d/c, to be weary of.
- Unsportsman-like behavior: There is also the threat of people who cant play a fair game of madden.
Addressing these Issues To solve some of these core issues that degrade the quality of an online franchise we at The Drawing Board have implemented rules and user tools that help address these issues. Communication:
- Running forums that members can read and post on to stay in touch.
- Contact lists that includes our members gamertag, email address, and any other form of contact they provide.
- Chat Box to which members can login and chat directly with anyone that is actively on the site.
- Announcements that keeps active owners informed.
Schedual:
- Calendar that provides crucial information such as: Advance Dates; Owner Posted Games; Draft Deadlines; Events.
- Rules that govern advance dates.
- In-game Interview that helps find stable owners.
- Communication system is the main key to successful schedualing.
Connectivity:
- In-game Interview that helps find owners whose connection will not perfom to the leagues standards.
- Support forum that will guide users experiencing problems.
- Rules that govern a disconnect, or d/c, durring a game.
Unsportsman-like behavior:
- In-game Interview that will identify owners not suited for this league.
- Rules that govern a d/c durring a game.
- Support forum that members can report unruly users.
Conclusion:The Drawing Board is an system that aims to keep the franchise running smooth and continuous. Ultimately, a smooth franchise depends on the dedication of its members. With the systems and rules we have provided, finding dedicated players will not be hard. If some one does not like the rules they simply will not join. | |
